The Fircliff Luxury Guest House
Welcome to the Fircliff, a luxurious four star silver awarded Edwardian Guest House retaining many of its original features from that splendid era. It has been open for people visiting Bournemouth and Poole both on holiday and business for the last 80 years. Currently owned by Kathryn and Ian Black since 1989, they have made extensive refurbishments to the whole building.
The Fircliff is situated on the Westcliff 2 miles from Bournemouth centre, and 1 mile from the village of Westbourne. Poole quay is 4 miles to the west and the quaint town of Christchurch is 7 miles to the east.
The sea and the golden sands of the award winning beaches of Bournemouth and Poole are only 400 yards from the Guest House front door.
Why not enjoy a stroll through the delightful pedestrian only pine scented wooded Chine down to the sea.
The centre of Bournemouth with its fabulous gardens, shops and night-life is just 2 miles away which can be reached either through the wooded Chines or by a leisurely stroll along the promenade. During the summer months you could take a ride along the promenade on the land train to the pier.
One mile inland is Westbourne village where you could browse amongst gift shops, home-ware stores, bistros and cafes. If you need picnic supplies for a day on the beach or in the New Forest, there is a Marks and Spencer food to go and a Tesco express.
Castlepoint shopping mall is about 10 minutes by car.
Bournemouth interchange with its coach and rail links is just over 5 minutes away by car or taxi. There are regular bus services to Bournemouth and Poole. Enjoy a ride on the open-topped bus from Bournemouth to Swanage via the Sandbanks toll ferry and savour the beautiful countryside and sea views.
Bournemouth airport is just 15 minutes away by car or taxi.
